LEAD 128 - American Defense Policies and Leadership
In this course students delve into the purpose of the Department of Defense and the United States Military. It surveys our nation's national interests and how America's military works at maintaining the country's security. The course provides a summary of the unique roles of each of the Armed Services in discussions of equipment, missions and organization. It includes a more intense discussion on the role of our nation's military leaders, their organizations, missions and unique operations as it affects the safety and security of the United States of America and its international allies/defense partners. (3 credits).
